Jennifer Wegener found a love for animals at an early age. A native to Oklahoma, Jennifer started her "animal" career pet sitting for professors while attending the University of Central Oklahoma. After college, she began working as a veterinary technician in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1999, she completed a zookeeper intern training program with the Tulsa Zoo. As a zookeeper, she cared for the chimps, primates and small mammals. Jennifer has extensive knowledge and training as a veterinary technician and has a special interest in animal behavior. When she can, Jennifer enjoys helping out local rescue organizations by fostering or being a surrogate mom to puppies or kittens. Jennifer is a certified pet dental consultant with Virbac Animal Health. She is also a member of Petsitters International and is insured and bonded with Business Insurers of the Carolinas.
Jennifer and her husband, Russ, have been married for almost 5 years & are parents to a 3 yr old mini schnauzer named Wrigley, a 3 yr old black lab named Ruger, and two sons who are 1 1/2 and 6 months old . They love to keep up with their favorite teams...Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Cubs, and the San Antonio Spurs.
